Two Wave Questions!
Hello all - I'll rep whoever can help me first!
Okay 2 questions:
1) How would you test whether reflected visible light is plane polarised?
2) A grille of metal rods is placed between a microwave transmitter and reciever. Describe and explain the changes in the recieved amplitude as the grille is rotated about a horizontal axis.

2) Well, this is a polarising lens (of a sort, it will absorb microwaves in a certain polarisation anyway). Intensity will vary between a max. and min. depending on when it is aligned with the microwave polarisation (i.e. will change from max. to min. in a rotation of pi/2). The minimum being zero...
