Exam Essay Writing Help

Hi i was wondering if you could help me....

Im currently doing my A2's for History on Tudor Rebellions and Lenin for OCR

when i get my essays back im always gettin feedback from my teachers saying that there is no coherence in my essays and that i lack extensive analysis and evaluation.... im having problems atm and i was wondering if any of you could give me any advice on using good analysis and evaluation techniques and improving my coherence in my essays so i can achieve A grade essays

Well, work out what your main argument is in respect to the essay question, outline this in your introduction (give examples) and base your paragraphs around your argument thematically. The key to a good essay is always referring back as much as possible to the original essay question - so when you give relevant facts then analyse what impact they had, and state how they reinforce your argument. Keep it simple, don't use convoluted sentences and particularly in your introduction state your point of view in a clear, succinct manner. I hope this helps. :smile:
