I was wondering if someone could explain how the examiners find out your UMS mark from the mark you get in the science modules?
I'm sure it was actually out of something under 50..
I took my Biology and Chemistry unit 1s last year and got 94 and 84, an A* and an A, and wanted to work out what the minimum marks I'd need to get on the other modules would be to get an A* overall...
Use Pages 27 and 28 (for UMS boundaries) and pages 48 and 49 (for the corresponding raw boundaries) Bear in mind they to change slightly.
I would try and work it out for you, but I'm not familiar with AQA's Science so don't know what components you need to do. Do you have to do coursework components or are they optional?
Edit: Oh, March 2007 boundaries http://www.aqa.org.uk/over/stat_pdf/...OUND-MAR06.PDF
and does this apply too? http://www.aqa.org.uk/over/stat_pdf/...OUND-JAN07.PDF
