IMPORTANT for tomorrow: optical isomers
I understand aboutthe types of optical isomers but one thing that seems to confuse me is how do you know the shape?
I understand that they are arranged tetrahedrally, but how do u know which groups are suppose to be comign out of the plane of the paper, behind the plane etc?
Any help would be appricated

You can just arrange it in any order you want, since the molecule can be viewed from different angles.
You can arrange one in anyway you want as said above. But the other must be the mirror image of the first one.
