Year abroad?
Anyone who has been a year abroad and can answer a few questions? I'm not at uni at the moment, but hopefully I'll start in September. I'm really keen on going abroad for one year but is that up to me or up to the uni to decide wheather i can go or not? I'm planning to study politics/european studies including 1 or 2 languages - do I need to get very high grades in general to be able to go abroad?
Can I chose myself between the countries, cities and universities the uni offers? (Obviously i would go somewhere where they speak a language I've been studying)
And at last, is it possible to arrange studies or work oneself that the uni would accept as a year abroad?
