Re: RAG blind date
Oh god - I had the worst luck with rag blind dates - and I always paid loads too! One year it was so bad I hid in the bathroom... luckily I received a call from a friend, he came and rescued me and we got together instead.
The worst thing about it is waiting for them - you're in the Anchor or whatever, a really cute guy comes up to you with a twinkle in his eye, you know you're going to hit it off, and he says... 'are you Emily?'
No I'm not sodding Emily.
And then you just wait for the inevitable 4 foot 8 greasy creep with the bible in his hand. -

I'll probably go along, it was fun (in an awkward kind of way). But I haven't seen any flyers, RAG reps dancing around outside hall or anything this year.

Re: RAG blind date
I would do it - and I was being pestered in hall today to sign up - but since I'd have to check the box for being already in a relationship, I don't think I'd be able to appreciate all of the potential cringeworthiness of the date, which is presumably the only real reason people go in for it.
