Louise Attaque is absolutely lovely!

On the french side, Amel Bent is very good, more RnB though.
And Alizee is fab.

Yes, Shakira is a fantastic artist musically. Don't just listen to the commercial songs like Hips Don't Lie and Beautiful Liar. She has many others which she has put her heart and soul into.

She has a new album out later in the year. Can't wait! :biggrin:

Everything else she has, and it is all so much better.
Her older stuff and from Oral Fixation volumes.

I didn't think there would be a new one this year, but that's pretty exciting if there is!
Fingers crossed she will come back to the UK on tour.
It's nearly a year since I saw her :smile:

I was going to go, but in the end I couldn't afford it. Real shame! Hope you had a good time. :smile:

Yeah she is currently writing a new album at one of her houses. It was confirmed. She said she'll be spending at least a month there with her musicians. She might include the 40 odd songs which she didn't include in the Fixaion albums.

Three of her songs are being included in a film which will be in the cinema's here in a few weeks. :smile:

Love In The Time of Cholera. Yeah, I think it's out next week or the week after. Should be good. Once again, she was offered to play a part but she refused. She got asked to play the female lead character in the Mask of Zorro, but turned it down because she said she wasn't good enough.

I wish I could go and see her. Someday. :smile:

There's been some rumours about the duets in the new album. There was the possibility of a duet with Eve, but this was denied. There were two rumours about Shakira and Fergie OR Shakira and the Black Eyed Peas. Still unconfirmed. I also think the Robbie Williams attempt to break America by dueting with her has gone too. It was confirmed somewhere though that the producer will be making arabic and egyptian music on the new album. Wahtever it is though, I'm sure it'll be good. :smile:

The new album is expected to be out late this year or early 2009.
