Can't find the figures for total rejections. However, the 15% bit comes from this:

Reasons for rejection:
23% inadequate qualifications
53% after PS/reference is assessed
15% after interview
4% for not attending interview
3% withdrew
2% other (missed deadline, resits, etc) [Source: abdn.ac.uk]

So, can I assume from that if you get to interview, you've got a fairly good chance of getting an offer? Or have I completely misinterpreted that?
its usually around 50%... so if you had 4 interviews you could probably expect two offers on average i reckon... obviously your personality and performance at interview matters so its not like 4 interview guarantees you 2 offers, doesn't even guarantee you one.
i don't know why, i'm obviously feeling very generous, but from other stats on that page you can work out that almost exactly 25% of those interviewed are rejected and 75% are accepted.
