Re: Pink Floyd SocietyI have been a borderline obsessive Floyd fan since I was about 12 and have concluded that DSOTM and The Wall are not 'the best' albums. Personally at the moment I'm not as keen on the Wall, though it is a staggeringly incredible concept album, as I am on some of the others.(Original post by Planto)
You, sir, are wrong.
Meddle
Wish You Were Here
Atom Heart Mother
Animals
Are all as 'good'. Though really, my preferences fluctuate and I move from album to album, so I only ever have a favourite at a certain point. It's Meddle at the moment. -
Re: Pink Floyd SocietyI think what we're getting at here is that it is subjective and the concept of a 'best album' doesn't exist with a band as incredible and prolific as Floyd. Watching Live at Pompeii is an entheogenic experience.(Original post by Planto)
I'm a rather big fan of Floyd myself. Not an a complete Floyd anorak like one of my friends but I do have access to their entire discography and really Dark Side is definitely my favourite album.

Re: Pink Floyd SocietyAhhh I do love those songs...Have a Cigar is wicked!(Original post by HCD)
Damn straight! Why have Comfortably Numb and Have A Cigar not been mentioned? I mean, how can ye have any pudding if ye don't eat yer meat?
I'm listening to Welcome to the Machine atm...Last edited by Democracy; 05-02-2008 at 19:10.
