Does anybody know if Bath send an e-mail/letter/whatever to confirm your room, after you have send off the accommodation offer and payment schedule?

The only way I think you can tell is whether or not you can sign up for ResNet.

I tried to sign up a few days after retuning my payment things by 1st class post and it said that my reply had not yet been processed. But this morning - Joy!! The system would let me on and sign up fully for ResNet (Which is now included in the room price!)

Yeah, Adam's right. I checked it up, and it seems that you will only be available for registration after your accomodatoin has be acknowledged. So the letter you get with your online user name and password is actually your accomodation acknowledgement.

Well it's not, because I got that weeks before I got the accommodation offer through as an e-mail!

I've just signed up for ResNet successfully though, so it must all be OK.

On the letter that they sent with your accomodation offer, it said that the room number was not necessarily right, because they might have to move some people around (i imagine if you break both legs they'd put you on the ground floor) so when you sign up to resnet and put in the room number that was on the offer... well, might you have to pay if you got the wrong room?

I've sent off my accommodation payment details around a week ago. Should I wait till I get something back to confirm before I signup to ResNet?

I don't think they send a cofirmation, I think the UCAS thing was the confirmation, along with payment etc etc. ROL is also confirmation, and the final stage can only be done once at the Uni. So I'd say go ahead and sign up for ResNet, you might be waiting a long time otherwise....

But stubbsy is right.. maybe they will move people around, and hence screw up the resnet application... but still, one would like to have that uplink ASAP...

Accommodation haven't finished proccessing your acceptance yet and they don't
send confirmation letters as far as I know.

However there's no rush to apply for resnet, an application will be processed
and the connection activated within 5 minutes. You can leave it 'till you
arrive and apply using a public access PC in the library.

i did my accomodation ages ago so i cant remember what i had but i had a letter through ages ago telling my room number etc and the costs so i had to send that back accepting the offer, along with the payment details i think. Thats the last i did with the accomodation. i tried the username and password i used for the bath student site on the webmail but it said it was invalid or something along those lines. I thought mayeb you'd had a letter through about it but obviously not.
