You have to make a firm choice (I think). Although you don't have to make an insurance choice, you might as well. If you get the grades to go to the Irish University then you can just go there and ignore the English unis but if you don't then you can go to your UCAS Firm (or if you miss the grades, your UCAS insurance).

It varies from uni to uni. For your firm, you should apply for the accomodation you want to go to (if you don't go to Ireland) but ring the uni about when to apply for this. Speak to your insurance choice about the accomodation arrangements incase you end up there (sometimes it is not guranateed for insurance choices). Obv. apply for accomodation at the Irish uni but I have no idea how it works over there so again ring them about that.
