Forensic Mental Health Nursing

I was just wondering if anyone on here knew anything about forensic mental health nursing. I heard one of the students on my placement ward talking about it and didn't get the chance to ask her about it before the end of my shift. Usually i would just wait until I saw her next, but that wont be until over two weeks time due to easter holidays and such.

I have a place to do my mental health nursing and even though I know most of the care is going out into the community, i'm not completely sold on it yet. I'm trying to keep my options open so when I heard her mention this I thought I would check it out.

I have had a look around, got the general idea of it I think, but any information would be good. Anyone else interested in going down this road?

I can't help you with the specifics, but forensics is a really interesting branch on psych - the people are amazing. I really enjoyed my time in the lock-up. :wink:
