    we're sorry about this, the problem is that the vb software is not adding the tags correctly i think.

    rather than writing it out and then letting vb sort it, type it like this

    [.url=http://www.ollieandkatie.co.uk]www.ollieandkatie.co.uk[/url] - Finally Hosted!

    with out the the . in [.url obviously.

    that hopefully will work.

    we are currently running vb 3 beta, when 3 comes out hopwfully it will all be sorted-sorry!

    1) When there are three or more parameters Google and other such crawlers don't crawl the page and as such it will reduce server load.
    2)The URL redirector is there to stop people spamming the forum for pagerank. If there was only one parameter (the URL) then the spam would still collect pagerank.

    and its a bit of a easter egg kinda!

    any more questions for the mods/d??

    Why don't you just use a robots.txt file?

    we dont want to stop the crawlers searching the pages, just following the links i think

    I also don't like the "Request Return Receipt" box flashing up for every private message sent or received, can't it just be a tick box on the send form or in non popup form?

    Also what are these random quotes up in the top right corner here?
    And are the UK-Student.Info forums linked to these?

    I've pointed this out to d (the forum admin), and I believe he will look into it when he gets a chance.

    To prevent this, ensure you put the 'http://' in front of all addresses you use in links.
