Re: Do you revise for mocks?
a good way of revision is from revising from your mocks (if you teachers allow you to have your papers back) as it gives you the chance to see how you answered the question, what you didnt include and how you can answer it better in the future. I've always found looking over previous work effective.

Re: Do you revise for mocks?Well, for GCSE mocks I revised quite a bit...probably more than for the real things. But then again I had the whole of the Christmas holidays, the mocks were treated, in school, like the real exams (ie, in sports hell etc).
As for AS mocks...not as much. Still revise, but don't treat them like I did the GCSE ones. The mocks are in lessons, so they tend to be more like class tests rather than mocks, so they seem less formal. -
Re: Do you revise for mocks?
Wow, I'm the only person to vote the first option?
Yeah I do, I use them to really prepare myself for the real exams because it's the best practice I'm gonna get, and if there's something that throws me in the exam I then know to go over it and ask for help or whatever.
So yeah, I revise for them, but I don't get stressed about revising for them like I do with real exams

Re: Do you revise for mocks?
normally, i'd try and some quick revision a few nights before and tend to get decent grades. But just had some science mocks and i had loadsa coursework so I didn't revise
Worst desicion EVER! First time I've ever had that sick feeling ^^ just couldn't answer a single question lol! and I'm predicted an A* in the real thing...shocker! -
Re: Do you revise for mocks?
I voted for 'hour the night before and read the textbook on the way to school' because that was pretty much exactly what I did for the January science exams. It just occurred to me that those were actually real exams...
For most of the mocks, I looked through the textbook or someone's revision guide in the lesson before except for for Latin. I actually learnt all of the wordlist (slightly reduced because we hadn't done all of it then - and still haven't) and the 2 poems. (That was all we were tested on in the mocks - hadn't started the prose back then, and Daily Life was on it too but I forgot to even look at that.) Looking at the textbook beforehand is a kind of reassurance/safety net to make sure I'm not going to get in there and not know anything.
