I got my place here but then a nasty thought hit me. Since this isn't directly run by the university (or so I'm told) what happens if I fail to meet the grade requirements at Nottingham and don't get my place?

I think that the contract is still with Nottingham isn't it? But it's just sub-let to another company?

They say that you have to tell them by the 29th August so they can refund your deposit and re allocate your room.

i'm sure it's specificied in your contract. check it carefully for other possible deposit refunds scenarios

while i'm on the subject of not getting the grades, do you think nottingham would accept me if i achieved BBCC with a BBB offer? :P

I think you've got a good chance of getting accepted with BBCC - but of course scenarios like this can never be guessed. Simple answer is, if you want to go to Notts (which you really do) then work your ass off to get the BBB :P
