woohoo i got a conditional from Man Met!

just gotta pass my access course, no special credit requirements or anything! so im basically a shoe-in :biggrin:

how long does it normally take from you accepting their offer (just did) to them sending you the accomodation application pack?

I applied online for the accommodation, go onto their website and you can apply there...I'm not sure if you get an application pack? Congrats anyway :smile:

you mean in uni or now at college?

just a general access course at college, doin BA French and Spanish at man met, starting in foundation year... :smile:

its a genralised access course where you choose 2 specialist subjects (or 3 if you're a bit of a masochist, but you only need 2 to pass) and I chose English literature and sociology cos the only other altenratives were Psychology and Biology. and then you have to do study skills and IT and crap.

i was expecting everyone to be really old when i started but the clear majority of people were under 25 and a fair few even 19-21. I think maybe a lot more people are starting to notice that access courses are such an easier alternative to A-levels....

um i only got a book on the accomodation from when i went to my interview, the only correspondance i recieved after choosing mmu as my firm i don't know about anyone else but was from ucas. go on the mmu.ac.uk website - study at mmu - undergraduate - accomodation - apply and you can apply for the accomodation straight away as far as i'm aware, with your ucas number. i think they have all the info up on there about all the different halls, do some research on here (for example) for a better idea of where would be suitable. hope i've helped..? xxx
