confused?
solve this equation please.

sec^2 x + tan^2 x = 6

Thanx

1/(cos^2x) + sin^2x / cos^2x = 1+sin^2x = 6cos^2x
= sin^2x + cos^2x + sin^2x = 6cos^2x
2sin^2x = 5cos^2x
(2/5)tan^2x = 1
tan^2x = 5/2
tan x = root (5/2)

or just use 1+tan²x = sec²x to get

2tan²x = 5

tanx = root(5/2)

(1+tan^2 x) + tan^2 x = 6
1 + 2tan^2 x = 6
tanx = rt(5/2)

(1+tan^2 x) + tan^2 x = 6
1 + 2tan^2 x = 6
tanx = rt(5/2)

I expect u just wrote that coz originally I had 3's where I was menna have 2's
