right, im no good at this.
when you increase the voltage in a circuit, why does the time it takes for a capacitor to charge increase?
surely a larger voltage means more current in the circuit which means that the capacitor will charge faster?!
help explain please!

The time it takes a capacitor to charge doesnt depend on he PD.
a)its always infinite
b) the time constant = CR
But - the capacitor charges until the PD across the capacitor = emf of cell
and Q = CV so higher PD means more charge
