Smile AEA Mathematics (edexcel)

Does anyone know how many questions roughly one would need to get right to get a Merit/ Distinction? Merit usually is around 50/100 marks, but are marks bumped up, i.e. like UMS marks? Also...does anyone know of any good revision preparation for AEA maths?

I think theres less marks being bumped up, if i recall, the marks given for merit and distinction have roughly been near 50 and 70 respectively. It might change from 49 or 69 but ive not seen a dramatic change. I dunno whether this is because of the quality of the candidates or because the questions are very well set.

1. Make sure you know C1-C4 inside out.
2. Work your way through every available AEA paper under timed conditions (but attempting unfinished questions afterwards, in order to see how your performance would be in the exam but also allowing you to practice all the questions)
3. Perhaps have a play around with some STEP I or STEP II questions?
