Hey, I'm thinking of doing a course starting this autumn and just wondering whenabouts the holiday periods fall and how long they last for christmas and easter?

I'm hoping to go on holiday for 3 or 4 weeks, so it'd be good to find out well in advance

It depends on the course...I was only back from 19th dec-6th jan, and 15th march-1st april, but some had more time off than me. Next year's is probably already up on the website.

On my course, and most of the others (as far as I'm aware) we had a 2 week break at xmas (depending if/when you had exams, could be a longer break) and 2 week break at easter

ah thats a shame - when i was at leeds uni we got whole months off in the academic calendar for breaks at xmas and easter! Guess I'm just going to have to get used to it...

It's the same this academic year too I think...

2 weeks off at Crimbo and 2 off at Easter

But the second teaching period stops at the end of May so I think it's holidays from June to September
