was just wondering what the course was like, if anyone has any info they'd like to share. i'm applying this year to do archaeology at uni, but just.. a bit baffed at which uni's to choose. i love the look of aberdeen, so it'd be great if the course was as snazzy as the uni seems to be.

I only know of one person I've ever met who did archaeology at Aberdeen, and although he seemed to quite enjoy the course, the fact that he rarely turned up makes him a somewhat less credible source of info He has unfortunately been expelled and is now in China so it may be a little hard for me to get any more info for you, sorry

What I can say is that the Geography department as a whole is pretty well respected and always seemed well run and had enjoyable courses

If enjoy 9am starts then go for it...
I'm the same as Smiler - ive got a mate who should be doing it, but doesn't bother to go so can't comment unfortunately. The 9am starts may be related to his attendance.

So i had 9am starts at least 4 days a week for the entire year. I missed 3 lectures from september til they stopped. And one of them was to go to the accommodation fair

One of the days off was also cause some idiot spiked your drink with a quad vodka

It's different with medicine though, you really have to go in for that. Most degrees you can get off skipping some lectures.
