OCR Maths: what do i need to get an A?

In the january C1 exam i got 87% (A) and now ive got the C2 and S1 exams to do...actually ive just done the C1. Im guessing that each of the three units count for a third of the overall AS grade...

So what minmum percentage will i need for each C2 and S1 to get a grade A in maths overall? sorry i just dont know how to figure it out....

please correct me if the C1, C2 and S1 do not each count for a third of the overall AS.

You need an average of 80 UMS per exam, sadly you can't know what percent raw mark you need for 80 UMS until you get the results.

i thought you just needed an average of i think its 80% for an A overall
but im nt sure

80 UMS out of....?

I think you need 73% average in both them to scrape 80 UMS marks, assuming that 87% was UMS?

80 UMS out of....?

Each module can give 100 UMS max. 80 UMS is the boundary for an A.

87% was UMS..it actually said 87/100 on the grade letter but i just thought that was percent
You need a total of 240 out of 300 UMS for a grade A at AS Level.

As you have 87 UMS, you need a further 153 UMS marks.

Look at the answers on the C2 thread to estimate your UMS from that exam (multiply your raw mark by 1.39).

That will tell you how many UMS you need on S1 (Divide by 1.39 to find the approx raw mark required).

So if i got 87/100 on C1 and something like 70/100 on C2 and 92/100 on S1 i still wont get an A?

Yes, you would have 249 UMS and that would be an A.
