Re: OCR A Physics (waves, electrons/photons, forces/motion)
I think you'll notice that more than the other two modules,'Properties of Waves', is, for the majority of the time, rote based. It just requires you to learn many definitions and experiments. In that respect it is similar to Biology on the whole. There are limited equations for the module, just the equations for power (P = I / 4*pi*r^2), angles of refraction, and the critical angle (n = 1 / sin C). The most difficult thing, arguably, about the module is the use of the equation (lambda = WS / D) or whatever interchangeable letters you use, to determine fringe separation etc.
What should be mentioned however, is that if you find wave properties a difficult module, it is only worth 20% of the AS level. It is added to your coursework, so, pending on whether your coursework was of a good standard, you can easily get away with a relatively low mark come next Thursday. Forces & Motion as well as Electrons & Photons are each worth 30%.
