Hi new to thread, applied for process operation about 2 weeks ago, got initial acceptance letter within the same week. Anyone help me with when and where to expect my aptitude test to be? Much appreciated, thanks!

If you are new to the thread then you can get all that information from reading the thread. The thread is 53 pages long because people don't do that. It's all repeated information. You'll find what you need within 5 pages of reading back.

When I spoke to the tester at the Portlethen test centre he said the aptitude tests were going to be going on until May sometime and also that they weren't going to be doing any interviews until all the assessments had been done.

Has anyone applied to ECITB for the technician apprenticeships as well or as the OPITO course is run in partnership with ECITB is it kind of the same application?

Gonna give it another go this year even though I've already got a place confirmed at uni this time. Got an interview last year but didn't get in. Maybe this year will be different, we'll see.

Which one did you put first to specialise in last year? Also have you had your assessment yet or have you only just applied? Also when did you have your interview last year?

I think it was process I put first last year, and I've only just sent off my application for this year, I saw no rush as I didn't have my test until May last year because I'm in the south of England. For my interview I ended up having it pretty late in July because I was over in asia for about a month and a half. Having it that late could have been one of the reasons why I didn't get in because by then I think people were already getting offers.

Hello, i put in for an apprenticeship at opito this year to. I got a letter saying that they have received my application and just waiting to hear back on a test date. I also come from the south of England so i am quite interested where you had your test and interview ?

I had my test up in Norwich around May time, my interview was also going to be in Norwich but I had to change it because I was away so I had to go all the way up to Aberdeen for my actual one. Hopefully they come a little further south this year, Norwich is still like 5 or 6 hours travelling for me.

Nah. Nothing yet. The way I see it is they would have contacted you right away if you had done bad enough to be insta-cut. I'm just gonna be patient and await a letter.

Pretty much everything about all the topics have been covered throughout this thread. But the 5 papers you get are Maths calculator, mental arithmetic, verbal comprehension, mechanical reasoning and a processes paper.
