OPITO Apprenticeship - Anyone?

Scroll to see replies

New to this thread guys - Hi all! Had my aptitude tests on the 18th of April and got my "pass" letter a couple days later - just waiting for an interview date now and hoping for the best! This is my first time round - this is the first apprenticeship that i've applied for - but all is going well so far! How is everyone else getting on?
xperty - what did the sheet say on it exactly? Glad to see you have passed this time round, i have read all through the posts, including yours from ages ago!
i'm soo jealous of all u guys getting in  darn! why so lucky?!
No such luck yet, still waiting on a date for an interview here, whats your situation, did you pass the Apt tests?
Still waiting on getting reply back on by aptitude test results to see if I passed or not with ECITB

Sat my test on 26th, and not too sure how long it will take for a reply :frown:

The dreaded wait I guess D:

Well done to all whom have passed the tests so far

Nice to meet you, Im 16, 17 in September, 5th year at school so you're up one xD

I passed all 5, but was on the pass mark for the mechanical one (17 out of 30). The others i did really well in, 95 percent and above if i remember right! When i sat them, i thought i was doomed with the mechanical, but i scraped by :P
Just got my results emailed to me on request !

I passed   ... with ease it seems :O

you may think that we wont be at same college, but you may be surprised..

My friend got on the course last year, and he said that fourth valley (FALKIRK) are trying to make it so that next year the people doing instrument and (process(I THINK)) go there also

Not 100% sure if it will happen though

Although if you get your 2nd choice and i get first we may be

Wahey! To be frankly honest, out of all the disciplines, i am open to whatever they think i would be best suited to, as my only information really is the 4 paragraphs on the website - I will go where i am needed to be, and work hard at it.

Isn't process always in Aberdeen? Im from there so it would be easy for me :P

ahh that would make sense if they were to put you doing process.. would save them from paying for accomodation for the course.

Maybe its electrical thats moving up from Middlesborough then

Im on the same boat as you here, dont mind what I do at all

though since I've been moved to ECITB. THey only provide training for:
Instrument(offshore)
Mechanical(onshore)
Electrical(onshore)

I seriously have no idea what'd happen, but as I said... either way Im happy

Now just time for the interviews... gotta get these exams past first though :frown:

Yeah you know it! What exams you sitting this year? Im kinda looking forward to the interview at the same time as dreading it, because my worst fear when applying to this was the possibility of rejection without them even meeting me for themselves, and i think i'll be alright, if i think it through :P You good with interviews?
