Is there anybody else here thats had/having interviews from ecitb? Nearly everyone seems to be with opito haha im wondering what the interview with the sponsoring companies will be like, seems quite daunting but it would be an amazing opportunity too
I had my ecitb interview on the 5th July, and they said that the 2nd interviews will be taking place on first week of august - so no one has really sat the one with the sponsoring companies yet i dont think,

Do u guys reckon i am on the reserve list then? Or could it just be that they are reserving judgement until all the interviews are completed.
No i dont think you're on reserve at the moment, your fate is still undecided mate. We know the last interview is 29th july, so I would presume if you haven't heard anything by mid august/3rd week of august at latest then i think its fair to say at that point you definately are on reserve list. But a guy last year got lucky with a phone call in september 3 days before college course was starting and they asked if he could start instrument!!!

Had my Interview on the 11th. They dont give much away but I dont feel very good about it so will not be holding my breath. I was told they will be interviewing until the end of July, and will have seen over 300 applicants for less than 90 available places left. Good luck to everyone.

Thats what the guy told me. Could be 300 for each discipline. Either way I don't feel like mine went aswell as it could have. A shame since I flew back to the UK just for the interview.

Basically, it costs them a fair bit to put someone through a medical so they aren't going to do it unless they want you. I'm pretty sure not even the people on the reserve list get medicals so I'm pretty safe in saying if you pass, you're in. Once they have your medical certificates they then send out your contract to be signed and returned. Thats what happened with me anyway. Congrats by the way! What was your first choice discipline?

This is getting annoying now. I am blatantly on a reserve list why can't they just tell me this! No reason to keep me in the quiet for 10 weeks!!

I recieved my contract before having my medical, but I've also heard of people having the contract sent to them afterwards

Im not so sure mate; there's still interviews going on to the end of the month. It may be the case that you didnt impress them quite as much as the people who've been given contracts/medicals sooner. People have been rejected too remember. No news is good news. I think they will review you again when all interviews have taken place. You're still in the race!!!!

don't forget that some people also get offered a place and then for whatever reasons turn it down. So like the last guy said no news is good news.

Thought I'd take the plunge and finally register on here.
Had my medical last Friday at Norwich Airport (Abermed) and passed, so my certs should be sent off already. Now just to wait and hear. Big career and lifestyle change, but I think I'll enjoy it a lot more and it will give a lot better career progression than what I'm currently doing in my opinion!

    Its a tense tense wait

Whats the preferred role you picked?

As far as I remember it was instrument, may have been process. Silly that I can't remember but that's just what I'm like!

I personally love interviews now. Had quite a few when I was younger (17/18) so got experience of them straight off the bat, I thrive in them now. It actually worries some people I know, they can get incredibly nervous beforehand, whereas I'm all giddy and excited

Fingers crossed for you and best of luck!

yeah.. I'm only 17 atm, and well yeah before this I had only 1 previous interview experience... and it was informal.

Tbh i myself was nervous, but the interviewers seemed to make that easier to cope with for me, I feel i've done ok, but as with interviews go... who knows haha

Anyway thanks, and well done on getting on the course, Instrument was my first choice also - so HOPEFULLY see you around haha!
