My mate does the apprenticeship and has a part-time job at the weekends when he's back home.

If I get on the apprenticeship, I reckon I'd keep my current job too.

Agh well as promised here`s your reply. I received my aptitude letter today dated the 4th of April informing me that i had failed. I felt like **** failing the P*** wee test. Well i did until i phoned my cousin who has 7 A highers and 3 advanced and heard that he had got the same response as i with just a few credit standard grades. The biggest joke came though when my cousin said that he had phoned maureen hunter to see what parts of the test he done bad/good in etc to be told that they couldn`t have looked at his school grades as they would have put him forward for interview despite him failing the aptitude test as the school grade were a better reflection of his ability supceeding the aptitide test standard which is set at standard grade level. Anyone else getting a similiar response lol wtf ? I will be back for attempt 2 in 2011 lol.

Basically there are 5 tests. the first is the easiest thing you will ever do. basically a set of passages and then you answer questions about what youve read. you don't need to know anything.
2nd test is maths and you can use a calculator. its basically like a gcse maths paper.
3rd is quite hard, its a test of your knowledge on things like pistons, joints, forces etc.
4th is maths again, but its all mental arithmetic questions.
5th is hard to explain so i wont try, but its all about sequences..

its all multiple choice, so its easy.

Anybudy any idea if the interviews only get held at where their main sites are or if they will have them in different areas like they done with the tests? Or if anyone has had an interview in Glasgow is a simple way of asking lol.
