I saw them when they were suppporting HelloGoodbye in November, never heard of them, not a fan to be honest. Too shouty for me. Made my sister really jealous though.

I don't mind that one song - "Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too" - it used to be catchy.

    But they're also quite annoying.

They do come across a bit arogant, but its part of the image I think. I wasnt the biggest fan when I saw them with HGB, but listening to their album a few times has made me really excited to see them again. Hope they stay for a chat

I love them, and they have WAY better songs that 'Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too'. Although I must admit I haven't listened to their latest much yet. I wish I was going to see them, I've missed out 3 or 4 times already, but as usual I have no friends who like them, and no method of transport, ha.

    Re: Say Anything
I got ...Is A Real Boy in 2004 when I was in the US and I have been absolutely obsessed with them since then. They are by far my favourite band of the past decade or so. I can understand completely how some people hate them, Max has something of a 'marmite' voice. I saw them supporting Hellogoodbye at Brixton a few months ago. They didn't put on a massively good performance but I think a lot of that was down to the venue and a fairly apathetic crowd. Bit disappointing as I'd only gone to see them and left halfway through Hellogoodbye's set as I couldn't stand them any more.

I definitely think that Wow is one of their weakest songs and not massively representative of the band. I'd be hard pushed to choose a favourite track as I am in love with virtually every song on IARB and IDOTG, although I have a special place in my heart for But A Fleeting Illness.

Got my tickets for the London gig, so I just have to hope that I'll be able to get away from my internship relatively early.

Oh, and after waiting ages for new material to be released, it's looking like IDOTG, a new album and a side-project between Max and Chris from Saves The Day are all going to be released within a year or so of each other.

They were amazing. Safe to say. Was rammed in the venue as well. Unfortunately Max's voice was pretty ****ed, but he played an accoustic set towards the end to make up for it, which was amazing, and he played their new single: Ahhhh... Men

    I <3 Max

    Re: Say Anything
I'm in love with virtually everything that Say Anything have recorded, but the London gig was absolutely rubbish. It started off okay but then it descended into dross. The 'acoustic' set was just a joke.

    Re: Say Anything
Why was it a joke? I was dissapointed he didnt play Molly, admit it, and the church channel. But he did play Walk Through Hell, That Is Why, The Truth Is You Should Lie With Me, and Ahh men, which he didnt play at those other gigs.
And Ive seen them before playing those songs he missed so I wasnt too fussed. The gig was still cracking though. I dont see how you could love everything theyve recorded and then think the acoustic set was a "joke"?

    Re: Say Anything
I adore Say Anything. Max Bemis is a complete hero and IARB has to be one of my favourite albums ever. IDOTG imo isn't near that standard but none the less it's still really good. I saw them in 2006 I think it was, when they toured here and it was great. The Academy 3 at Manchester wasn't even sold out but it was such a boss show. Unfortunetly I missed seeing them this time due to a coursework deadline, was really gutted. I will definitely not miss them next time they are over though.

I wanted to go see them but they didn't come close enough to where I live. I saw then on the HGB tour and thought they were really good, but I didn't know many of their songs then.

I haven't really listened to IDOTG the much but I really like IARB.
