heres some questions that i think could come up:

what is an IT policy?
backup strategies and/or storage
evaluation criteria
for evaluation report i don't think they'd only ask for stating the sections, it might be the full 8 mark which includes explanation
why to upgrade hardware/software?
data consistency, independency, redundancy, integrity
a scenario about distributed systems
psychological factors
resource implications
maintenance release
alpha/beta testing
and finally the most hated of them all..... wait for it....... PROTOCOLS!!!!

some of these have never come up before like what is an IT policy? whats the correct answer for that question?

Reasons why an Information Technology Management Policy is
needed
 To have procedures for compliance with legislation (1)
 To ensure that systems are introduced that are of benefit to the organisation (1)
 To identify backup procedures (1)
 To identify the type/ content of data that is stored in a particular fashion (1)
 To identify what information should be passed to whom (1)
 To ensure correct training provision (1)
 To ensure consistency of hardware and software (1)
 Maintenance and support (1) Max 2 marks 2
Would an IT policy be similar to a code of practice? A set of rules or concepts, set by an organisation for an employee to follow...

Or could it be about security, access rights, measures against internal and external threats, backup strategy and such?

Just a stab in the dark, sorry

An IT policy outlines what is expected of users in terms of IT usage, and their responsibilities for following certain rules, a code of practice and legislation such as the Data Protection Act

Areas that might be included in an IT policy:

Current hardware and software provision
Future hardware/software provision
Security and user procedural issues
Back-ups
General rules and conditions for IT usage

Psychological Factors can be:

use of long-term memory
shortcuts for experts
help provided for novice users
use of wizards
user friendliness
etc

make sure u give a relevant example aswell like user friendliness - easily navigable screen layout or shortcuts for experts - reduce time spent on carrying out tasks to work faster etc

i'm pretty sure this will come up

thats all I know off my mind

Yeah well im assuming 80 ums as I think Unit 4 didnt go to well but if I get 80 in this and even as low as 40 in unit 4 im safe for an A, even tho unit 4 wasnt that bad to only get 40 ums.

Anyway.. 70's the AIM and hopefully 15 or more come from the 20 marker to ease the pressure.

You confident?
