University of Edinburgh

MSc English

Have been accepted into the MSc in Literature and Modernity (formerly Writing and Cultural Politics). I am very attracted to the university, the research interests of certain staff members, the library facilities and the general outline of the course, but I'd love to hear some first hand accounts of the English department from any postgrad student.

I'm somewhat torn between this course, and one offered in York. I had previously thought that York was simply my back-up, but since their offer came in I've been somewhat uncertain. My knowledge of the Edinburgh English department is purely paper-based; I'd really like to hear something about it from someone who's been through it.
