What about it. I learned about the Flavr Tomato but apparently it was irrelevant.
Just think what makes crops better. Yield, Pest resistence and so on.
Talk about how it's introduced I'm guessing adding the gene.
-Restriction endonuclease (enzyme)
-Same one used for plasmid and erm the DNA of beneficial gene.
-Complementary Sticky ends
-H bonds
-Ligation
You might take about how this will affect plant. Less die due to pests. Reduced Genetic Diversity and so on.
I'm not sure but maybe you can talk about how it may produce super weed or have an unknown negative effect on the food chain
I'm revsing Genetics tonight/morning so I'll be able to talk about this properly.
