Because Elvis Presley its more Rock 'N' Roll than Classic Rock.
But talk about Elvis if you want to
The status of "classic rock" is subjective anyway, it's not exactly set in stone as a genre. A lot of classic rock bands could also be classed as hard rock or prog rock too

There're plenty of classic rock bands and songs we haven't talked about yet; we would be here forever if we discussed everything lol.

I'm not a massave elvis fan i must say though

Elvis played a huge part in early rock and roll and so paved the way for the likes of classic rock. Definitely worth mentioning him in this thread - long live the king

I'm afraid my budget allocated to concerts has already kinda been exceeded for tickets for Iron Maiden/A7X Twickenham and Motorhead/Saxon gigs :p:

I take it you're going to leppard/wsnake/bsc then?

Yeah booked tickets ages ago for the Newcastle gig. Should be fantastic, especially with the new Def and 'Snake albums out!

I'd love to go to see Motorhead/Saxon too but unfortunately I'm not sure what I'll be doing when that comes around :frown:

Motor head were amazing when I last went to see them - you do meet some strange people there though (I was nearly knocked out by some 50 year old in the toilets for talking to my mate - I wouldn't mind now but I was 14 at the time!)

Zeppeliners second on both counts. Oh well.

Has anybody heard anything from 'The Sparkle Lounge'? Is it any good? I've got the best of Def Leppard, but it's the 2001 one.
Reply 155
Nope i've heard nothing off the new album yet. I might go get it this week though if it's good
Reply 156
I got "Songs From the Sparkle Lounge" last week. Some of the songs are a departure from their usual stuff, but essentially there are some great tunes on it and it's a cracking album. If you like the old stuff it's worth getting it.
Reply 157
Ooh cool, i'll probably get that when I see it about then

Has anyone heard "Jack & Diane" by john cougar mellencamp? (sp?)
Such a tune
