Hey, I've just been doing a few searches on google and I found these questions which may help you all with your revision:

Cluster 1
1) Compare the ways language and layout are used to achieve particular effects in Two Scavengers in a truck and one other poem of your choice from the poems from different cultures.

Compare:
- the kinds of language and layout used
- the effects achieved by these uses of language and layout
- your own response to the poem

2) Explain how ‘What were they like?’ and one other poem makes the reader think carefully about the nature of evil.

3) How is contrast used in Two Scavenger in a truck?
Compare this with the use of contrast in one other poem.

4) Explore the ways the theme of protest is use in ‘Nothings Changed’ and one other poem.

Compare:
- what they are protesting about and how it makes them feel
- the kinds of language and layout used and their effect
- your own response to the poem

5) Compare the ways in which the poets present people in Two Scavengers and one other poem of your choice from the Poems from different cultures and traditions.

Write about:
- what the different people are like
- what the poets think about them
- how the language brings out what the people are like
- how the language shows what the poets think about the people
- which poem do you prefer and why


Cluster 2
1) Compare how identity is shown to be important in Half-Caste and one other poem

2) Compare the ways in which the poets show how important personal identity is in Half-Caste and one other poem form different cultures.

Compare:
- The feelings about identity in the poems
- How the poet shows the importance of being who you are
- How the poets use language and structure to show ideas and feelings about who you are and how important that is.

3) Compare ‘Presents from my aunt’ with one other poem, showing how poets reveal their ideas and feelings about the particular cultures they are writing about.

4) Compare the ways the poem ‘Unrelated incidents’ uses language to express identity with one other poem form different culture

Here are some more:

Compare how the poets show you something important about the culture or cultures they are writing about in Two Scavs and one other poem.

Compare how the poets present places in Nothing's Changed and one other poem.

Compare the ways poets reveal their feelings in Vultures and one other poem.

Compare the ways poets present different environments in Night of the Scorpion and one other poem.

Compare the ways poets use unusual presention to present their views in What were they like and one other poem.

I would say...compare with Limbo? It's the only poem I can think of which has any real striking features about the layout.

2. Explain how ‘What were they like?’ and one other poem makes the reader think carefully about the nature of evil.

Nature of evil? I'd have to say Night of the Scorpion, but this is quite an evil question methinks, but allows a lot of space for personal interpretation

3) How is contrast used in Two Scavenger in a truck?
Compare this with the use of contrast in one other poem.

Possibly What Were They Like? The contrast of gentle, peaceful people to the whole bombs exploding?

4) Explore the ways the theme of protest is use in ‘Nothings Changed’ and one other poem.

Again What Were They Like...since it's the only other poem I can think of with the theme of protest by default...

5.) Compare the ways in which the poets present people in Two Scavengers and one other poem of your choice from the Poems from different cultures and traditions.

This one's pretty open....I would say use again What Were They Like

This one's pretty open....I would say use again What Were They Like

1. Limbo for the same reasaons as you
2. Vultures because it's all about love vs evil and how evil will forever be dominant over love.
3. Vultures because of contrast between love and evil. Another would be Island man for contrast between the Caribbean and London. I'd actually probably opt for Island man because it's easier to write about.
4. Limbo due to protest about slavery? I don't really know.
5. What were they like presents people as vulnerable which contrasts with Two Scavs.

2. Vultures: It's about love vs. evil? Holy crap.

Oh wait, yeh it is. lol.

You seem to know the poems pretty well then, you were panicking a bit earlier? Is it all good now?

It is all good now, I did a bit of revision so I'm slightly more confident. Although I must admit TSR is distracting me from my revision!
