Re: Nottingham Trent 2009I just got my offer
Conditional for French Joint Honours, exstatic as it is my first choice. Is it better to stay at the City Campus even though I think I may be at the Clifton Campus? Is it livelier there? Because I'd rather be closer to the city centre, amenities and night life than be right next to my campus.
Any help would be rewarded with a beer when I meet y'all
Oh, btw, the course starts on the 5th October for me - the day after my 19th Birthday! -
Re: Nottingham Trent 2009
congratulations!
when i visited ntu most of the reps suggested living in city rather than clifton cos of the nightlife and also because its closer to the student union. but if you arent into that sort of thing i guess clifton would be alright. personally, i would rather live in city then clifton cos clifton just looked depressing! everything was so close together and the buildings looked all drab and had that 'new highschool gym' look which im not much of a fan of. and also the transport links in nottingham seem to be pretty good (they have a cool tram
) and theres a shuttle bus that runs between city-clifton during term time soo i think youve got it pretty covered in terms of travelling between campuses. only problem would be the extra expenses for a term travel card :/
october 5th for me too! youre lucky though - the 5th is the day of my birthday :| but my course looks really good so i guess that makes up for it

If it's Fresher's week the week before, we'll have to go out on your birthday or the day before mine because it'll be either Saturday night or Monday night, which is apparently good for Oceana. Oceana isn't usually that busy in Bristol on a Monday night.
I'm still looking at Accommodation. I really want to be in a lively place on City Campus. Any ideas?
Yeah I know there's a Fresher's Facebook group link on here somewhere. I'll post it in a sec. -
Re: Nottingham Trent 2009
oke, makes sense. what kinda music does oceana play? i guess it would be better to go out on a saturday night then, or maybe even saturday and monday night if we arent too shattered!!
mm well, unfortunately, im not gonna be going to this wednesday open day so i cant advise you yet, but when i check it out in the march 14th open day ill be sure to let you know
but from what ive heard, gill street, sandby, and blenheim are good accommadation flats.

I've heard that Oceana Nottingham plays cheese and old stuff on Saturday nights, not sure. It's different at Oceana Bristol.
Yeah I'm not sure about this open day - because the train would cost me 70.50 and the National Express runs too late getting there and too early leaving there. -
Re: Nottingham Trent 2009
cheese?! awesome
haha. i love cheese, wait wait, i take that back, i love 80s cheese!
thats exactly the reason why im not going to the wednesday open day, if i booked earlier it would have cost me £14 from london to nottingham, now its £40!!! which is obviously quite alot more. instead, ill be going to the one in march with my parents, i thought they should come so they could get a good opportunity to embarrass me before its too late harhar
