As you most likely know, the English Language exam is coming up soon, and I'm not sure how to revise for it - is it something you can even revise for, or is it more of a case of the skills you've developed over the years rather than what you can cram for a few days before the exam.
Just what DO they teach kids in school?

Why do so little people do OCR?
because, as our English teacher admitted, OCR englishand english literature are far harder than the other exam boards. I'm not revising, I have other things to worry about, but just stick to the recommended times (as someone said above) and focus on what the question really asks for.

    nope!

    First: It was FOUR poems

    This is the order:
    1) Intro
    2) First poem - most detail
    2) Second poem (compare with first poem)
    3) Third poem (compare with aspects of above 2 poems)
    4) Fourth poem (compare with aspects of above 3 poems) - shortest paragraph

Oh, and dont forget a conclusion....but as long as you got enough points and explained fully and did ALL FOUR poems...your marks willbe good.

it was 4 poems for enlgish lit wasnt it?
atleast it was for AQA A last year

I thought the poems are english literature? Because I thought english language was about analysing texts and creative writing

Yes, English Literature Unit 1 involves set texts (e.g. Of Mine and Men, An Inspector Calls).
English Literature Unit 2 involves Poetry.
English Language involves analysing text and writing essays on them. It also includes either an argument or a persuasion question.
