I don't know if you've ever had a teacher tell you this one, but apparantly the exam boards 'refresh' the papers every three years, meaning that they'll ask the same type of question in a three year run. I don't put much faith it in, cause sometimes it is just wrong, but the 24 mark question in 2005 for philosophy was about utilitarianism, and it was the same this year...what are peoples thoughts on this alleged question cycle?
No mate i think you have it wrong. What happens is they cover the entire syllabus in 3 years. So after 3 years worth of exam papers everything will have been asked. Then on the first year of the next cycle they start again
I think it varies between different exam boards and subjects. For example in philosophy, they have to ask you long essay questions on each topic at least once every 5 years.
