Default no degree classification

On my course if you fail a core module you have to resit it and don't get a degree classification for your first year, but you still get percentage marks for your other modules of course. How would this work out when applying for internships? Do they ask for your classification or just for individual module marks/overall average?

They will ask you for a predicted final degree classification. Where they do ask for first year marks, you provide just that a percentage mark, not the individual class of the module.

I don't really know how tough HR get on the predicted criteria, but a fair few people I knew applying just put 2:1 or a 1st regardless of their first year grades, as the uni didnt give any official predicted grades out. When they got to interviews this didn't really seem to catch them out either..

So no bank asks for your actual degree classification? Aren't you supposed to put something like 'First Year Results: 2.1' on your CV though?
