Hi
I have quite poor handwriting and am wondering if it will affect my grades in any subjects, especially english and lit, are the examiners good at reading handwriting? do they get another examiner to look at it if one cant read it? what happens if they cant read a section or word?

Thanks

Unfortunately I think if they can't read a word they tend to skip it and mark down because of it (that's what our teachers told us). I reckon they do attempt to read it though. If there's lots of words that are unreadable then I think it will (sadly) affect your performance, but I do imagine that examiners have a bit of a heart and will try to read the words if they're a bit messy.

After writing the paper, I go through the paper twice, then go through the exam looking for any ambiguious (sp) letters, and then make those letters clearer.
