Default Help!!! How to lose belly fat?
 
Hello!

I'd really like to know how I can lose belly fat? I do crunches, is that enough?

What else do I need to do?

You can't lose fat from a particular spot - crunches isn't enought fat cannot be turned into muscle

the only way is with a calorie controlled diet and exercise

Crunches will target the muscle under the fat, but will do little to nothing for the fat itself.

You need to do some good cardio, 3-5 times a week and reduce all over body fat. Cycling, running, brisk walking, swimming, general gym etc etc combined with a healthy diet.

Keep up the crunches so when you drop the fat you'll be nice and toned.

thanks... I'll try that out! I do exercise 2times a week! I guess that's not enough!

I'm hoping to get into a real regime when I start Univ, coz wid my mum around, there's no way she'll allow me to do that!

I don't know whether swimming is doing me any good as you dont sweat in the water lol whereas when im on the treadmill i know its working.

If you are trying to burn fat through swimming how do u know if its working? I mean, without waiting to see the result, obviously. Are your muscles supposed to hurt?

EDIT: I go on the treadmill 4 times a week. Once a week its for an hour and really really intensive and the rest of the time its for 40 minutes but also quite intensive. Am i doing enough? Thanks!

the best way to lose fat is give yourself at least 6 months do lots of High intensity interval training HIIT and eat a proper diet (veg and some fruit right proteins fats and carbs in right proportions- no need to starve yourself tho lol -.-)

I've been using a lot of cardio and hydraulic machines some of which are particularly focused on the belly. I've lost inches all over, except on my belly. Now I'm starting to look more and more like a frog

What do you mean by right protein?

n, do you have 2 eat more protein than rice in a mean for example?

Er if u want to lose weight u shudnt be eating that much rice in the first place. its fattening. eat veg and meat.

Actually I'm not fat! I just want a flatter belly.

Your BMI is 20.3, so you're in the ideal category. So technically, you're probably not fat. I'd guess you're not a particularly large clothes size either.

You do sweat underwater but, because you're surrounded by water, you dont feel it.
