Question Admissions criteria @ Harris Manchester Oxford

Hi everyone! I am 22 years old and I am looking to do a LLb or a BA in Law.
I just recently graduated [May 2008] with a BSc. in Business Administration: Finance degree from a New York college with a Cumulative GPA of 3.2901. I know I messed up my 1st year but after that it's been all As and Bs.
I really want to attend Harris Manchester Oxford [I think I have a better chance of getting accepted there since I am over 21] for Law and my question is with a mediocre GPA like that, will I still have a chance with a really good Personal Statement, a really good recommendation and good score on the LNATs?
Also since I have already graduated and there is no fixing my GPA, are there any remedial courses [short term as I want to attend in 2009] or any way I can amend this situation [I reside in London UK now] that would increase my chance of getting into Oxford?
Also does Harris Manchester have a cut off score for the LNATs [example: only accept students who achieve more then 20]?
Comments and assistance would really be appreciated!

My advice would be to contact Oxford Uni, they'll have the answers to all your questions! I've no idea about the scoring grades in the U.S, sorry.

I'm not sure about your your grades because I'm not from the US, but generally Oxford don't place too much weight on LNAT scores, I've spoken to people who have got in with 15 (but I assume this is fairly rare) to other colleges, and plenty of people get in with 18 or 19. Some other universties place much more emphasis on the LNAT however like LSE and Durham, where 20 tends to be the cut off point. Good luck!

If you're confident that the rest of your application will be strong, it's worth a try (after all, you've got nothing to lose, really). There's a slight caveat, though: Harris Manchester doesn't actually have lower admissions criteria than the other colleges. Also, since you're only just over 21 and haven't really been out of education, they will probably pay closer attention to your performance on your first degree than they would have if you had, say, spent six years working in a related field, so to be quite honest, I doubt that your qualifying as a "mature" student because you're over 21 will make that much of a difference...

Thank You for your replies everyone - I just contacted Harris Manchester - they said they would get back (fingers crossed). What I would also like to know is if there is any remedial courses that could increase my prospect of getting into Oxford? Also more opinions or comments would greatly be appreciated.
