Default Mitigating circumstances

I'm currently taking A2, and some 'things' have come up recently which I believe may have had a negative impact on my exam results. Who do I tell and when and where etc.. do I wait until results day and then tell the uni if I don't get the marks?

A dummies guide would be nice.

Thanks

No, I've not really seen the need to tell them. Not overly chummy! Perhaps I should have though.

Firstly, check to see if any of them make you eligible for extra marks to be awarded. Secondly, I'd either write to them or ask to speak directly to the admissions tutor. It won't do much good to sound like you're whining to the person who answers the phone - they'll have heard dozens of similar stories and probably won't even pass it on, but if you talk to an admissions tutor, they might actually be able to take it into consideration.
