Blue Fountain Pen Ink In An Exam

today i sat a classics exam, and wrote the whole exam (8 pages) in blue fountain pen ink. however, i did not see on the front it said black or ball point. im quite worried the marking system (electronic) could screw up and i could end with a **** grade! however a few others have done the same and said it should be ok. can anyone reassure me?

for the millionth time in these threads you'll be fine just next time use black pen
The only reason they've now asked you to write in black ink is because they scan them in, and blue ink sometimes doesn't show up quite as clearly as they'd like. Unless you wrote faintly, you should be fine. Blue ink has rarely caused problems in the past.

worst comes to the worse the examiner will not be able to read the scan in and will mark it manually by look at the paper

it's not like they will refuse to mark it or give you a fail

I did my Geogrphy DME half in blue ink and I got an A.

So have no fear, I think that you will be OK! :-D

When I did my GCSEs two years ago I only used blue fountain pen for all of my exams. Thats what we had to use at school and so I saw no reason to do otherwise and we were not told to change.

You will be perfectly ok. A*s await!
