A2 AQA environmental science...Is anybody else doing or done this? I have no idea where to start..

Is your coursework option mandatory?
Many people on AQA ES choose to do ESC7 - the written coursework to the practical investigation. The teachers generally prefer doing it as well and often the students get higher marks. So if you can do that instead; I'd recommend it!

hmm i disagree! did coursework and it was fun/interesting and go 28/30... its 25/30 for an A so i'm pretty happy to be honest!
you have to learns lots more boring statistical tests etc. and questions are quite tough for ESC7... our teacher made us do some questions in case we needed to sit the exam incase our coursework wasn't really up to scratch so its a good fallback i guess!

Yer having it as a fall back option isn't such a bad idea. In theory, the stuff you learnt during the coursework should be similar or applicable to ESC7

I did the coursework and got 25/30, which is an A. I tend to like coursework more than exams, as proved by getting 100% on my Geography coursework!

theres gonna be no such thing as environmental science soon anyway
its becoming environmental studies with no coursework : ( i liked the coursework

It's a terrible shame about that - it was all a mistake how it happened in the first place as well!
But also because Studies could put some mindsets in par with such subjects as general, film or media studies, and may lead people to believe there is not very much scientific content, which is totally wrong!

apparently some universities have already said they don't want it for environmental degrees and such...
