That's not actually true, but I wont go into that... :p:
I didn't specifically expect any of those to become mods (perhaps apart from F1 fanatic), but at the same time there's nothing wrong with those choices, I imagine they'll be quite successful actually. :yep:

seems like everyone in the top two pages of the members list are or have been mod's and some point
Posting in Chat rather a lot has no effect on how good a mod someone will be in more serious areas of the site (look at El Pike et al. :biggrin:) Vesta was by far the best post reporter in Study Help and will do an excellent job, to be fair.

'Forum Assistant' is the new usergroup for subsequent elected "minimods" and others who will be assisting the mods in certain forums. They deal with general organisation (moving and tagging threads etc.) rather than being involved as mods from a disciplinary perspective; as such, it is a more accurate title.
