****ing hardcore. -
Re: Celtic F.C
Even if Celtic are 'going to run away with it', at least the fight for second place will be a damn sight more interesting than it has been.
So funny reading the bitter Rangers fan comments on Twitter, it's as if they already know they're going to be travelling to Peterhead, Montrose and Stenhousemuir.

Re: Celtic F.CHey, you are an idiot. And today has proven this to be the case.(Original post by andrew17)
I'm pretty sure it will happen. -
Re: Celtic F.CI agree, watch Celtic go down the pan as a result of this. I don't see why people take such enjoyment in seeing this happen to your rival club... What else do Celtic have to play against? Hearts now their biggest rival?(Original post by DaveSmith99)
You might be laughing now, but you see what happens to scottish football when the only interesting thing about it is gone. A one horse league is even more boring than a two horse one, enjoy winning your meaningless trophies every season.
There is no doubt that if Rangers were to exit the Scottish league that Celtic would suffer for it. Not only is it a huge time to get extra revenue and general public interest toward the Scottish league, but also consider why would players want to go to a club with absolutely no competition, no rivalry etc. As i said Rangers going down will affect Celtic negatively.
-
Re: Celtic F.CSo you're saying that Celtic will become a worse team because they won't have a rival to compete against, and in the same breath saying no one will come see them because they're better than everyone else and it's not interesting winning all the time? Pick one.(Original post by Gob Bluth)

Re: Celtic F.CNon competitive league playing against league 1/2 standard opposition. I struggle to see why really. At least Rangers made it interesting and provided quality opposition...(Original post by FrigidSymphony)

Re: Celtic F.CIbrox is a listed building... It can't be knocked down, idiot.(Original post by FrigidSymphony)
The only thing left of your five stars will be the sign on the Hilton that will be built on the ruins of Ibrox. -
Re: Celtic F.CYou know nothing of Scottish footballs finances, do you? (No need to answer, you've proved it.)(Original post by Gob Bluth)

Plenty of regeneration going on in Glasgow changing things around with listed fronts

The SPL is becoming more like the League of Wales. Funny. Just answer me this though: Surely it's just not going to be fun or in anyway interesting in it being a foregone conclusion who will win it. Hell if it was for me with Cardiff (Swansea fan) it would be a downright shame. Boring with no rivals. Yes, it's fun to hate them, but it's a whole lot more fun at least them being there. Still hoping Cardiff get to the PL to see them go straight back down

The challenge for second place for the next few years will be far more entertaining than anything else previously. These other teams will invest as they can now potentially win things, the league will be in a much better place.
