    Its interesting to move through this French essay phrase discussion as it is filled with some useful stuffs. There are many working ideas similar to the phrase expansion and you have to give more values to your work following such tips. When you are writing French essays, you can refer some professional advices available online in order to clear the writing requirements. Anyway, hope you have to get a nice experience.

    Mine don't sound quite so flashy, but I'd say they're essential things to know.

    Ainsi soit-il - So be it
    Ainsi - Thus
    Ainsi que - Aswell as
    Donc - Therefore
    Cependant / toutefois - However
    C'est-à-dire / En clair - That is to say
    À dire vrai (normal) / À proprement parler (soutenu) - Strictly speaking
    En revanche (soutenu) / Par contre (normal) - On the other hand
    Néanmoins - Il n'en demeure pas - Nevertheless
    Par exemple - For example
    Compte tenu que - Given that
    En raison de - Due to
    Dans la mesure où - To the extent that / where
    La mesure à laqeuelle - The extent to which
    On pourrait dire que / On pourrait argumenter que - It could be said that
    Bien que - Although
    De plus - Furthermore
    Même si - Even if
    Afin de - In order to
    Au lieu de - Instead of
    Bien sûr - Of course
