I thought the second question on Unit 5 was a bit funny, I have never really seen partial pressures being used in rates equations so that threw me off a bit, I just treated the partial pressures as if they were concentration and continues, so i go the rate with respect to NO as 2 and with respect to oxygen as 1. then the reason that the reaction was very slow during the thunder storm was that the partial pressure of the NO in an open space which you can consider to be a container of very high volume would be very very low so the rate would be also be low as well.
