Text books

Hi everyone. I have decided to study german a level by myself. I'm working full time and no distance learning company like ics has language A levels except French on offer. Can you please tell me what course/text books you used in class?

There's loads of threads on this. Either The German Handbook or Hammer's Guide to German Grammar and Usage will do the job :smile:

Other than that, for syllabus it depends on what exam board you're with. I didn't use any, but used an old one for revision and random reading.

Excalibur

Zeitgeist is pretty standard and the one I used - it's geared towards AQA but it should be useful for all courses. Brennpunkt is another popular one; I think it's specific to either Edexcel or OCR. If you get the teacher's handbook for it too you should be able to get the listening tapes as well.
