Is learned helplessness (regarding depression) part of the behavioural model? In my revision guide its under cognitive..

yeah it's behavioural, well it was in the operant conditioning section of my textbook...

Yeah, it is behavioural. Its about classical conditioning i thought.. and lewinsohns theory on losing a loved one about operant conditioning.

Learned helplessness is behaviourism.
But the cognitive approach expands upon learned helplessness, by saying the reasons why people feel helpless - if it is stable/global/internal.

its a bit of both really because their negative thought processes played a part too
my textbook has it under cognitive too...

but it does mention the overlap with cognitive as includes behaviours and negative thought processes
