Re: McDonalds
I also had my first shifts today! It's a great atmosphere but obviously gets hot and stressful during busy periods especially during busy times. My trainer is nice and she's taught me everything and all the staff their are really nice and we had a laugh. Shame I'm only their for 2 weeks whilst I am doing my training. lol

Re: McDonaldsyou get staff discount and then you get discount at a load of other places like Alton Towers and places like that, too many to mention. Once you can login to 'our lounge', you can access a page which details all of the benefits.(Original post by CM Punk)
what benefits do you get from working there? eg: discounts and stuff. i forgot to ask during my OJE -
Re: McDonalds
I'm feeling a bit demoralised. I've applied to a few branches online and have already been rejected by two. Without even acknowledging the fact that I think it's a ridiculous way to assess somebody's suitability for the position, I'm starting to doubt my own capabilities. Did I really answer the questions that badly? Grr...

Re: McDonaldsHow did you answer the questions? I'm working at McDonald's now but I've been rejected by them in the past. You learn more from your mistakes/rejections than you do from when everything is going great. You just need to work out where you are going wrong.(Original post by Live82005)

Re: McDonaldsDo you mean rejected by them saying you haven't got the job, or that they just haven't replied to you?(Original post by Live82005)

Re: McDonalds
The On The Job evaluation in our store is when a candidate is asked to present food to a customer in our Drive Thru. They are told to treat the customer as they think they should so lots of big smiles, hello, good bye, have a good day type stuff.
Orientation is when successful applicants are provided with some general info about McDs and when bank details, national insurance, and some basic food safety info is given out. -

Re: McDonalds
I don't know the head office but restuarants recruit staff on a indiviual basis. www.mcdcareers.co.uk will show all the McDonalds within a certain distance from your postcode and show you how many if their are any vacancies. If you want to proceed you can apply online or go into the store and ask for an application form.
